Have you ever thought about life and its many twists and turns? There are trials and triumphs, heartaches and celebrations, routines and events. My name is Cathy Schrader, and as a Christian, I still experience life's twists and turns but I have God's love to comfort me during these times. He takes my trials and causes me to triumph, he takes my sickness and gives me health, exchanges my heartache for joy, and my worry for peace. This is the foundation for the Comfort in Christ Bears.
These bears transpired through a God given vision. Prior to this I had never sewn a stitch in my life. When God called me to make the bears I thought someone else should do it because I didn't have the talent. However, God called me and equipped me to make them. They are made from 100% recycled material (excluding the stuffing). They are made from what society views as worthless and of no value. God takes the used material and works through me to create a beautiful bear to bring comfort to others. Each bears comes with a bookmark attached that has the poem listed below and the logo. The back of the bookmark can be personalized with your own special message.
Cast aside by society
But Jesus felt I mattered
And saw what I could be
He took my torn pieces
And handled them with care
Sewn together with his love
I've become your teddy bear
God can take our torn and battered lives and create something beautiful. Our testimonies of deliverance become a guiding light for others who may be experiencing similar situations.
I have made bears from clothing of loved ones who have passed and the special messages on the bookmarks brought comfort to family members. Some bears have been made from receiving blankets and celebrate God's gift of a special child. The ideas are endless. These bears are made-to-order with the purpose of spreading God's love and comforting message to the world.
The bears are $15.00 each
"If you love me keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:15-18
